The CP ranges at which Raikou can be captured are as follows:

Raikou, with CP levels ranging from 1889 to 1972 at Level 20 and 2361 to 2466 with a weather boost at Level 25, is obtainable in both its normal and shiny forms.

Type:

Our solution to Raikou, a Pokémon of the Electric type, is quite simple – employ Ground-type moves. It is important to avoid teaching your Pokémon Electric, Flying, or Steel-type moves, as Raikou possesses resistance against these attack types. By following this strategy, you can effectively defeat this formidable opponent.

In tackling this raid, it’s important to note that it falls under the category of a Shadow Raid, which introduces an additional layer of complexity to consider during battle.

Shadow Pokémon have the ability to become enraged, resulting in heightened attack power and reduced damage taken.

It is crucial to have an ample supply of Purified Gems to appease Shadow Articuno, along with a solid team of counters and well-powered Pokémon.

If you’re new to the world of Shadow Raiding, our comprehensive guide on Purified Gems is a valuable resource to help you embark on this adventure!

Boosts:

When the weather is rainy, Raikou’s typing grants it a significant power boost! Encountering this Pokémon during such weather conditions will result in a stronger encounter and a higher level when caught.

However, it is important to consider the potential risks associated with these weather conditions before venturing outside.

In some cases, it might be wiser to stay indoors and participate in remote raids instead.

It is not feasible to duo Shadow Raikou. However, with a team of skilled trainers, you can successfully complete the raid with just 4-5 members. As long as everyone has the best counters and times their Purified Gems effectively, this number should suffice.

On the other hand, if you are a lower-level trainer with less experience or weaker counters, it is recommended to have a larger group.

We suggest a minimum of 8 trainers if you do not have high-level friends. The more participants you gather, the quicker the raids will be completed. Don’t forget to take advantage of the buffs provided by Party Play! It’s an opportunity for additional damage, especially if you’re all together.

For optimal results, it is advisable to utilize Shadow versions of the following Pokemon for the Recommended Party. The increased damage output of Shadow Pokemon, even with average Individual Values (IVs), makes them superior choices compared to their regular counterparts.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to include them in your raid lineup to maximize your damage potential.
